I am excited to share a cheery Spring mini session with the lovely Hurst family!! The buds were just starting to come out on some of the trees and the evening light was gorgeous! Watching the kids interact with each other and their mom and dad was so sweet!
It doesnt seem like that many years ago that I put on the same cap and gown as these soon-to-be JMU graduates, but it’s been 14 years!! (WOW! How is that possible?!) These lovely ladies are housemates and attend Reformed University Fellowship together at JMU. Walking through campus with them, hearing their laughter and banter…
Oh happy day!! I share this post with the utmost joy because a very special family has MUCH to celebrate!! Back in April of 2017, I had the pleasure of taking portraits for these dear friends as they were preparing to adopt AND that summer when they brought baby Shiloh home!
I dont usually share the black and white portraits I give to my clients but I just LOVED them from this session with the Kuster family! What a privilege to photograph three generations all at once! I absolutely adore watching the interactions between grandparents and grandchildren during these “extended family” sessions!!
The amazing Wolfe family is near and dear to my heart as they are the owners of Every Soul Acres where I have spent my weekends photographing for the last 2 Decembers!! This family loves Jesus and loves people well! I never want to be away from my own family but if I have to be, these are good people to be with!
The more I do it, the more I find that photographing multiple generations is one of the most delightful parts of my job! Not only do I get to see the love of a mom and dad for their children, but seeing grandparents and grandchildren AND adult children and their parents… it’s just so much fun!!
The last few weeks have been filled to the brim with Christmas festivities and end of the year portrait sessions at Every Soul Acres Christmas Tree farm! In all the wonderful busyness, I forgot to share one of my last beautiful fall sessions of the year!!…
A few weeks back, I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful Domingus family at the JMU Arboretum! This sweet family chose this location for their portrait session as it has been a place of healing for them as they have grieved the loss of their son, Levi….
Some of my favorite portraits come from “extended family” sessions! I LOVE seeing parents interact with their adult children and grandchildren! Family is such a beautiful gift from God and I adore documenting the love between these generations!! I hope you enjoy these!
The Bucher family’s home is bursting with life and I was delighted to spend time with them and photograph their newest little one as well as the whole family! Baby Aday was perfectly sweet and cuddly! I especially loved watching the way her older siblings adore her!! Enjoy!
