1. UVA Pediatrics – Harrisonburg (formerly known as “Harrisonburg Pediatrics”)

This is the largest pediatric office in Harrisonburg with 8 doctors on staff.  In addition to the Harrisonburg office, there is also a location in McGaheysville that will be listed separately. Good news is, patients can be seen at either office.  The UVA Pediatrics group is the only Harrisonburg pediatricians office that accepts Medicaid.  As a large office with many providers, appointments are easy to get at the last minute, but you may not always be able to see your preferred doctor.

2. UVA Pediatrics – McGaheysville

This office is within the UVA Pediatrics system but has its own doctor and nurse practitioner.  This makes a great option for families looking for the benefits of a large office with the small-town feel.  While this office does not offer walk-in hours or Saturday appointments, patients can be seen at the Harrisonburg office during walk-in hours and on Saturdays.

Bluestone Pediatrics is also a large office with 5 doctors.  They offer walk-in appointments every day of the week. It is the only office that currently offers sick appointments on Sunday.

4. Mountain Ridge Pediatrics

Mountain Ridge Pediatrics is a great option for families looking for a smaller doctor’s office.  This office currently only has 2 doctors and they do not offer weekend appointment times.  The doctors on staff are very patient, caring, thorough and do not rush you through your appointment.

Hanon Pediatrics is the smallest office of the Harrisonburg pediatrician practices with only one doctor.  Though they have limited hours, they are the only office in Harrisonburg that lists house call as a possibility.   They are also the only office that offers discounts for cash payments.
