For years, Massanutten has been a favorite destination for group gatherings. From church retreats to family reunions, they’ve got just the activity to bring you together. The grounds have two golf courses with challenging holes and gorgeous views, while their mountain biking trails let you hire guides who will be there to show you the ropes. The resort has both physical and virtual escape rooms, a huge ice-skating rink, snow tubing, and a zipline guaranteed to deliver big thrills!
Recreation
Massanutten is the perfect place to come and unwind. They have fishing and hiking for the nature explorers and canoeing and river tubing on the Shenandoah River. Their recreation center will help you maintain your fitness routine, and their vineyard is the ideal place to spend an afternoon.
The whole family will love their pools and their mini golf course. The resort also has guided horseback rides along the trail, chairlift rides over the mountains, and carriage rides.
Featured Activities
The resort has a rotating schedule of featured activities, making every trip unique. You can book fun activities like cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, scuba diving, and art classes. During warmer months, they have a farmer’s market on the grounds where you can try delicious food, get some fresh produce, and buy goods from different artisans.
Waterparks
Perhaps the best thing about Massanutten is its award-winning waterparks. Their indoor waterpark is consistently kept at 84°. It’s filled with body slides, pools, lazy rivers, hot tubs, and more. They have an area in this park made especially for smaller guests. Your toddler can enjoy splashing around without you having to worry about navigating the chaos of every other visitor.
The outdoor waterpark is packed with huge slides, a halfpipe, a wave pool, and a splash pad for all ages. The waterparks host a weekly teen night where your kid can hang out with people their own age. They also have an arcade next to the parks where you can unwind and play some games.
