WHAT. A. SUMMER! You may (or may not) have noticed how absent Ive been on social media in the month of July. The main reason is that our family calendar has been jam packed in the last month and a half and while it’s been filled with fun events, I’m grateful that August is here and our days and nights are more open!!

January 2017 – Highlights were our biggest boy turned 8 (!!!) and we got to spend a semi-warm day at the New Market Battlefield with cousins!
My favorite part of Christmas this year was watching the kids give gifts to one another. They each got to go on a special date with mom or dad where they picked out and paid for gifts for their siblings. There was so much anticipation as they helped wrap those gifts and waited to give them on Christmas…

Unfortunately, I chose the coldest day of the month to ask my kids to smile for pictures. Mom of the year over here 🙂
Some of my favorite moments from Christmas this year were watching the kids open the gifts that they bought for each other (a dog figurine, Princess Sofia plate, Lego batman watch, etc). These weren’t expensive, but they were thought out and everyone was so excited to give to each other! I loved seeing the joy on both the faces of the giver and the recipient!
This month… my littlest man turned 2 and got a harmonica, George and I actually got to be in a picture together, we enjoyed the warm Fall air, played Chess, read books, colored, and enjoyed a few Thanksgiving feasts with family!
September: Started back up at Co-Op (Zoe’s first year), vacationed in Nags Head, wore ninja costumes a lot, celebrated at my Grandma’s 80th surprise birthday party, took pictures of my kids while they were eating (because that’s the only time they are still)….
