Soccer is a great sport for young kids to try out since there are a variety of programs available in Harrisonburg throughout the year. It takes a relatively small amount of time and financial commitment to allow your little one to try out this very popular sport. Whether you choose SVU Soccer or another great league from the list below, I hope this helps you narrow down your search based on location, cost, or what suits your schedule best!

City of Harrisonburg Parks & Recreation Start Smart Soccer
“The program prepares children for organized soccer in a fun, non-threatening environment. Start Smart Soccer prepares children and their parents for organized soccer without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. City of Harrisonburg Youth Soccer Leagues
Coaching your child’s soccer team is a great way to spend quality time with your son or daughter and help out the Harrisonburg community at the same time. As was mentioned above, some soccer leagues in Harrisonburg will allow your child to play soccer for free if you help them out by coaching! And if you are unsure that you possess the skills to do this, know that most soccer leagues have staff eager to train potential soccer coaches in practice drills and plays. Or, it may be more your thing to let your kid learn from someone else while you sit on the sidelines and cheer! Either way, we hope that this list is helpful in evaluating the differences among the many kids soccer leagues available in Harrisonburg!
