You’ll experience an extraordinary palette of bright colors and twinkling lights as you walk.
Dogwood Alley plays homage to Virginia’s state flower with a beautifully lit garden. Firefly Grove makes you feel like you’re walking through a field of floating fireflies. Serenity Way illuminates a grove of beautiful trees into a canvas of color unlike anything you’ve ever seen. There are so many other sweet exhibits that you’ll have to see for yourself. Lastly, Finale Field is the show-stopping end to your journey – but I won’t give away its magic so you can enjoy it in person.
Once you’ve completed the trail, you can mingle at The Market, which will be selling a variety of holiday treats and treasures for you to enjoy. Pick up a s’mores kit to roast marshmallows over a fire pit, or enjoy a mouthwatering pizza from Millstone Pizza Kitchen. There’s plenty of wine and other beverages to enjoy, too, perfect for staying cozy and warm on those cool winter evenings.

When you visit Boar’s Head Resort for Winter Wander, you’ll definitely want to check out their ice rink! Try skating – no matter the weather – with their synthetic-surfaced ice rink. The sun can shine down on the rink, and you can still skate the afternoon away! The surface is made from a unique plastic polymer that imitates how ice interacts with a skate blade.
Skating is an extra fee from your Winter Wander admission. Still, it is worth the price for the holiday magic it will assuredly evoke. Bring your own skates or rent them at the resort!
