4 Harrisonburg Fall Festivals Bringing Family & Friends Together

Fall Festival at Massanutten

Massanutten Resort is a year-round resort with plenty of mountain activities for the entire family to enjoy. With expansive outdoor water attractions and winter skiing, it’s a great draw for visitors from all over the world. In autumn, their Fall Festival gives locals and visitors a fabulous excuse to come out and celebrate the season!

This celebration of all things fall allows guests to take in the spectacular foliage from one of the world’s most scenic mountain resorts. Enjoy live music, beer, wine, cider sampling, food trucks, and arts and crafts vendors. You can even treat yourself to a chairlift ride for a small additional fee and see the changing leaves above the mountainside.

Younger festival-goers will love their children’s activities, which include squishies, tie-dye, mini pumpkin painting, and other yard games. There’s something to keep everyone entertained at this popular event! Check it out on Saturday, October 14, 2023!

Dayton Days Autumn Celebration

The Dayton Days Autumn Celebration is an excellent opportunity to discover this historic town. The festival, held on Saturday, October 7, showcases over 200 arts and crafts vendors, most selling products with seasonal inspiration. Come hungry to take advantage of the over 30 food trucks that will be parked at the festival, as well as a beer garden serving refreshing beverages.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn about Rocktown History, take advantage of the Greenway Trail, and explore their unique downtown shops for even more special finds. Spend the day celebrating this glorious season with great music, food, art, and a whole lot of fun for the whole family!

Apple Harvest Festival at Sage Bird Ciderworks

The Apple Harvest Festival at Sage Bird Ciderworks puts pumpkin spice to the side to celebrate another fall staple – apples! Sage Bird Ciderworks makes small batches of artisanal hard ciders, so they’re all about everything apple. Their Apple Harvest Festival invites visitors to join in on pressing cider on their vintage press and enjoy blues and country music.

Their Makers Market features work from local artisans and artists, like candles, vintage goods, leather goods, and much more. Enjoy hot mulled cider, a cider donut, and, of course, plenty of Sage Bird Ciderworks hard ciders, too!
