For over 20 years, Piedmont Pediatrics has been here to provide quality care for families across Charlottesville. Dr. Rob Michael and Dr. Gretchen Brantley opened the practice in 2000. They wanted to create an independent setting where families could receive care for all their health needs. Since opening its doors, the practice has added three more doctors and four nurse practitioners.
They work with most major insurance brands and are flexible about working with families who might have other types of health insurance. The team prides itself on building a relationship with its clients so you can trust them with all your concerns. The practice has locations at 900 Rio E Ct A in Charlottesville and 5974 Jarmans Gap Rd in Crozet.
Services
Piedmont Pediatrics offers a wide range of services for families. From the first week of life until the end of college, your child can receive consistent care through the center’s trusted doctors. Your child will receive regular well-visits. During these routine visits, your child will receive a physical exam, necessary immunizations, and screenings for growth and development. The doctor will discuss topics including nutrition and physical fitness, and you can bring up any general concerns.
You can schedule a same-day sick visit if your child feels under the weather. Your provider will focus on symptoms and help you devise a treatment plan. The center will do its best to get your child seen by their regular physician, but if they can’t make it work, your child will be seen by one of the many other fantastic providers! The clinic offers walk-in appointments and is open seven days a week. The answering line provides 24/7 assistance through the on-call physician.
